This is a little sketch right after the reflections painting from earlier today. I don’t know how many times I am going to paint this place, you would think I would get bored with it, but it is always fresh to me. A simple sketch, nothing to write home about. But home ain’t asking for any letters anyway, so I guess it don’t matter.
Do you have a dream in your heart? FOLLOW IT! That is the calling of the Lord, you can not go wrong (although you will seldom find affirmation in it). Welcome to the work of the Lord, that ain’t easy, and ain’t for wimps. Welcome to rivers filled with tears, welcome to grace and mercy unending. Welcome to deep shadows that refuse to divulge secrets.
Welcome to New Earth.
This is the way beloved. Like a crack in a wall, like the lonely shoreline that you decided to pause at, while the broad way masses sailed past you in oblivious delight.
Welcome to what will be after the dust settles. Welcome to friendships upon which we stake our lives, welcome to judgment in love, welcome to the refiner’s fire. Ouch.
This is New Earth, not the old earth dressed up in party clothes. This is the way of trees that bring life, and hope, and a river that never ends. A river of tenderness that never stops. Welcome to hopes and dreams that are met abundantly, welcome to the longing of your heart fulfilled.
Welcome to New Earth.
This is the way beloved, follow the Spirit of God.
