Yesterday was drizzly at lunch, one of those gray, misty days, but I still wanted to paint in P.V. I found a spot along the river under some trees to keep most of the light rain off of this, but towards the end it grew heavy enough I had to stop. But I think this goes with the territory of plein aire painting, you give it your best shot under the conditions (time and weather) and leave it at that.
New Earth in a nutshell.
I wanted to circle back this morning and touch on some aspects of what I call “New Earth”, that might help shed some light on where we are as a race, and where we are going.
I don’t know what it is about artists that often become embroiled in social commentary and analysis, or change. Perhaps it is because by pursuing art, you are already “away from the herd” in its seeking of money and power. Art making is a most anachronistic effort, it has no real relevance within the current order of things on the earth, in terms of power and a support of corporate/governmental interests. Art lives free of man’s ways, and will forever be a sacrament of the essential human freedom we all are destined to enjoy. As long as you see heartfelt, from the gut, broken, tender, sincere art being wrought in the earth, know that change, “real change” is coming. And I am not talking about fake change that plasters over the old with rhetoric alone. What I am talking about is fundamental, world-changing, peaceful, loving, merciful change as desired by the Spirit of Life. Whom some know as God, some as Allah, some as your heart. Some as the wind. Some have no such beliefs at all, but that doesn’t matter! New Earth welcomes ALL and makes no distinction between us based on belief systems. Belief systems are part of old earth, and as such have served their purpose well, but it is time to grow up.
What is New Earth? The idea is a simple one, but once you grab hold of it with your heart, you will begin to understand. This is not an idea that is marketable, believe me, there is no profit in it, no grand music will play from heaven when you mention it to someone. But believe me, the idea is extremely powerful, and once you catch sight of it, Katie bar the doors, humanity will be off and running headlong into love and pleasure and mercy, age without end.
Let’s first begin by saying what it is NOT. It is not a new goverment, relligion or social structure. It is not more systems, taxes, rules and laws. It is none of these things! This may be seen as a drawback, after all we think of everything in terms of organized structures (governments, societal etc), but you will come to see that this is actually her charm, for she lives free of our meanings and laws and orders of things. But please note, and I want to stress this point, that she is not antagonistic or resistive of Old Earth authority. She is from above, she is FREE, and the “Mother of is all”.
New Earth is simply that. A “new” earth. Within and among old earth ways, she rises. While the systems and powers that be are struggling to survive, she gains strength and poise. While the old earth of man’s mind seeks to patch the old ways, and give them new names that are pretentious (I think greed is still greed no matter how you candy coat it with fancy vernacular), New Earth grows and grows within and among us.
New Earth is our new home. New Earth is the way the earth “should be”. Peaceful, caring, kind, considerate, not seeking revenge, and NEVER hurting one another. But if hurt comes, we seek healing and compassion, not anger. New Earth always seeks the higher road, always looks for the good in everyone and everything. New Earth is kind and sincere.
New Earth is a GIVING economy instead of a TAKING economy. She teaches our children how to work with their hands and hearts, as well as the mind (we must have balance in our ways between the heart and the mind.
But notice, and this is the most wonderful part. She is in no way opposing the current powers in the earth, the governments, societal preferences and customs, religions and views. She WELCOMES all to the table, come and dine she says! So she lives in concert with the established old earth orders (that are fading even as I write this), and seeks to help as much as possible.
New Earth doesn’t sell passports to her citizens! There is no more oceans of water between us beloved, if you are reading this and you are in India, or Pakistan, or Russia, China, Zimbabwe or whereever, there is no gulf between us any more. You are as connected to me as my own family and children, we are one people, one body, consumed with only one desire - to bless one another.
New Earth is new, not change. In other words, she rises up anew, she doesn’t try to change or rerpair the old. That is what mankind is now facing, trying to patch up the old, repair it, keep it going. But the old ways were simply our nest, the shell around us that kept us somewhat on track (even as we sought every way possible to destroy ourselves and the earth! )
She has waited patiently until the time apportioned by the Lord. (And I wil speak of the Lord often in my writings, but understand that is borrowed from my old earth Christian belief system, feel free to substitute some other term if you like!) Where we are going there will be no more need to teach anyone about “God” for we will each know Him (or Her! 
as He desires and that knowledge will be sweet and custom tailored for you by the Master Artist himself!
New Earth sums up EVERYTHING that is good in man and claims it as her own! She harbors the love, the mercy and the peace of Christ, she consoles the weary, she forgives, she seeks to ship foods and medicine throughout the earth to help other nations, she abandons the tired ways of profit at the expense of the weak among us. (And my heart breaks over the plight of working families who are struggling to make ends meet, even as we are told “all is getting better!”).
New Earth welcomes every religion, every belief. She DRAWS the good out of each belief and sings of it, and creates art from these beliefs! She is ALL THAT IS GOOD in man - and ALL mankind is good beloved, all of us are pure and holy in the eyes of our Maker, He loves all of his creation with all of his heart.
New Earth does not seek to make laws and rules concerning her ways, She is free of law, she is free of the mind in its TOTKOGAE fascination. No words are to be made holy concerning her ways, she will not have a bible (although the holy books will be a part of her). BWe have enough holy thought and words to last the human race for billions of years as it is. No need to add more fuel to that fire.
New Earth is peaceful. You can’t stop a good idea, and if she be true, then the idea will go forth and prosper. If not, she will wither away on this blog, but somehow I don’t think that will be the case
New Earth seeks to supprt the governments she is under until the time she rises up clearly as the new we are headed for. ALL governments should be respected! All of our leaders need our prayers and support I don’t care how “despotic” they are! Heck, we are ALL despotic in some way, lets start cutting each other some slack! New Earth always welcomes other nations, there is no distinction.
Out of the fading glory of man’s self-derived ways, a new race is forming. New man, new woman, new children, citizens of their native countries and governments and customs, yes! But knowing in each of their hearts, in all of our hearts, that something, very, very beautiful is forming around and within us. Something so glorious and heavenly we can not even comprehend the glory to come. The earth will be healed as a result of our old ways, many of the machines will be abandoned as no longer useful, there will be move towards more community-based life and the large cities will fade away. Mass transportation will no longer be needed as we wean ourselves off of our slavish attendance upon large interests. But these are all my specultions, New Earth will seek her own ways as God desires, I am simply trying to convey to you what he is whispering to me.
I can see the land clearly. It is where we are going, and even now many of you are sticking your big tow into her waters and thinking, “Hey… this is kinda nice!” Beloved, we are set free in New Eearth, free of being enslaved to fear, free of our limitations.
We will be healed easily in New Earth, cancer is not welcome in New Earth, nor any disease! But keep in mind that much of our sicknesses we have brought upon ourselves by our technologies, so as the hurtful machines fade, so will the diseases.
New Earth is Heaven on earth! She is peace like a river, ever growing and swallowing up all of mankind into her arms!
What’s that you say… you don’t want to be a part of New Earth? Splendid! New Earth welcomes you as well! LOL, there are no “requirements” for citizenship within her, for she casts her net wide and deep, and draws all men to her. For me, that net is the Lord, Jesus Christ, but you may other ideas about that. Fine! Doesn’t matter. What matters is that we work together as a race, doing the best we can to minimize the pain as the old ways fade, while keeping our feet firmly planted in her.
She is glorious, she is love, she is peace and plenty. Yes, plenty. Abundance in the earth, starvation gone. She uses those aspects of old earth technologies that will help one another, and even those technologies will one day be abandoned as the earth is completely healed.
So, that’s it in a nutshell! There will always be an element of mystery about her, even as I think I understand her, I realize that I am at the mercy of her and can only write and express what my human mind can ascertain about her… but she is so much more than our mind, she is our heart, that most precious part of us, she is our heart.
In this modern time we live in, with so much vying for our attention, it can be hard to believe in anything any more. Our faith is often tested and tried, there seems no clear vision of the future of humanity apart from more hardship, more wars, more pestilence. I give you that vision now, as a free gift, the blessing and desire of heaven, of God, of Allah, of all that is holy and pure in the human consciousness. I give you PEACE like a river, I give you properity and abundance to accomplish your every dream, working with your hands that which you LOVE to do.
That is New Earth.
Is it where we are headed?
Beloved, I tell you truly, we are already there!
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” - Revelation 21:1

Keep going.
If there was any one piece of advice I could give to you out there who are chasing your own dreams (as I am), I would say, KEEP GOING, KEEP GOING, KEEP GOING. Remain attending the little things you CAN do every day, and the crop will come with patience and love. Just stick with it and I PROMISE YOU that you will see the dreams of your heart come to pass more quickly than you even imagined!
Remember that the good Lord is ALWAYS on your side, he is never condemning or judgmental against you! Hey folks, He made us, he understands our frailities and faults. NO PROBLEM-O he says! he ain’t worried about that stuff in us! That stuff will take care of itself over time. So if he isn’t judging you, DON’T JUDGE YOURSELF! Accept yourself the way you are, for the way you are is perfect and holy. Don’t every get the idea that you aren’t “measuring up” to some accepted standard of accomplishment. Beloved, YOU ARE SETTING TH STANDARD, you are creating your own place in this life, just as pure and perfect as any! Cherish your path, laugh along the way often, never hesitate to give another an encouraging word or two, we can all use it!
See yourself entering your dreams… accept and cherish the goal no matter “evidence” to the contrary. Evidence will match up eventually to your dream, evidence follows after your heart, not the other way around.
Stay true to slightest hint of spirit’s whisper in your ear. You will find that this spirit has inklings and insights into beauty that we in our human understanding sometimes fail to see. By abandoning yourself into her arms, you make your life a blank canvas for her caress.
